FRIENDS Certification is an opportunity for members of the UF community to expand their knowledge and understanding surrounding lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer issues and to develop skills for confronting prejudice and acting as an ally. FRIENDS workshops are not intended as introductory training on LGBTQ terminology and issues. Instead, the Friends Certification will offer participants the opportunity to critically engage with LGBTQ issues as they effect the lives of students, faculty and staff on campus. All participants who complete the certification will receive a new Friends placard, button and a Friends certificate. To register, please visit http://www.lgbt.ufl.edu.
